This is a program for mid-tier interventionists who serve as experienced instructors and may also provide training to staff/families, monitor the progress of goals and objectives through data collection and review, and supervise entry-levevl staff under the supervision of a professional who holds a license or credential within the scope of Applied Behaviour Analysis(ABA) and Autism SPectrum Disorders (ASD).The QASP-S Coursework prepares you to become a mid-tier level professional after completing 180 Coursework hours. The course is split into three semesters which is covered over a period of 9 months. Fees are paid per semester. You will be expected to complete supervised work hours before writing the board exams.
Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years old.
Possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university for higher education.
Successful completion of the course and the supervised fieldwork of 1000 hours qaulifies a candicate to take the QABA board exam towards becoming a certified supervisor practitioner which qualifies a placement on the QABA Board’s public registry. Certification is renewed every 2 years.
Program duration is 9 months (3 semesters).
New cohorts begin in October.Classes hold on weekends via a dedicated Virtual Classroom and a learning platform which includes lecture modules, case studies , videos , journal articles and competency assessments.
